You may wonder why I call these morning reflections, Joy Comes In the Morning. The phrase is found in Psalm 30 where the psalmist prays,
Weeping may remain for a night, but Joy comes in the morning.
I can so relate to this line. There are days that end in exhaustion or frankly tears, but my hope is always that with a sense of rest, joy will return in the morning.
This became more true for me this past week, as my husband, Justo, slipped in the ice outside our home on Thursday. An innocuous event, led to a severe injury and emergency surgery. He will be ok but he is immobile and will be for 3 months.
